Operations Director (International)

The Operations Director (International) is responsible for the management of deployed field projects to include all operational, financial, security, safety and technical arrangements.

SafeLane Global is recruiting for an Operations Director (International).

LINE MANAGER: Chief Operating Officer.

The Operations Director (International) is responsible for the management of deployed field projects to include all operational, financial, security, safety and technical arrangements.

1. Daily management of all operational projects. This will include, but will not be limited to:

a. Bid and Planning Phase: Ensure that technical plans are viable, cost effective and competitive. Ensure that bid text is appropriate and accurately responds to the requirement. Responsibility for technical, managerial, planning and costing input to bids and quotes.

b. Mobilisation Phase: Ensure that all aspects of a project’s mobilisation are conducted within the allotted timeframes and within, or under, the allotted budgets.

c. Operational Phase: Ensure that established project budgets are met and to continually seek alternative, more cost effective solutions. Oversee project cash book expenditure and ensure all is representative of realistic operations activities.

d. Continuation Phase: Where an existing project/contract has the possibility to extend, identify potential cost savings and inclusion of actual known costs in new cost schedule.

e. Demobilisation Phase: Approve most appropriate cost effective and efficient solution that fully clears the project being demobilised and make best use of out-going assets, both human and material.

2. Project monitoring to include; finance, invoicing, field budgets, equipment, mobilisation, contract management, contractor performance, incident reporting, field visits and audits.

3. Provision of support and guidance on all operational issues.

4. Approve the selection and briefing of prospective field contractors.

5. Technical review and periodic Head Office QA assessments of allSafeLane Global field activities.

6. Attendance at relevant conferences, exhibitions and seminars as required.

7. Line management of assigned staff members in accordance with the organisation chart.

8. Contribute to the formulation of strategic direction and medium-long term operational forward planning.

9. Other technical or operational duties as directed to enableSafeLane Global to meet operational or business requirements.
