SafeLane Global is looking to recruit a HR Intern who will support its Head of HR with numerous HR compliance projects across the United Kingdom.
If you join your team, your tasks will be varied – ranging from the collation and scanning of confidential documentation to policy analysis, addressing ad hoc employee queries, and assisting with HR intiatives.
You will also support the remote auditing of various locations to ensure their compliance with legislation and HR policies / practices.
It’s a hands-on role – you’ll need to have a keen interest in employment law and compliance!
This role will be based out of our Gillingham, Kent location. You will also have the opportunity to travel to other offices throughout the UK.
Responsibilities and Activities:
- Monitor HR documentation and update as necessary to ensure compliance with local legislation. Review and update content.

- Assist with implementing programs and processes to ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.
- Assist with running ad-hoc reports.
- Participate in remote location audits, as required.
- Other duties may be assigned according to the needs of the team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Full driver licence (travel is a requirement).
- In-date passport (travel is a requirement).
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Microsoft excel and word skills should be proficient level.
- Highly organised with the ability to hit the ground running within a high-pressured environment.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Organised, meticulous, and have excellent attention to detail.
Desirable
- Employee relations awareness
- A keen interest in people management
Qualifications
You should currently have or be in the process of obtaining a L5 or 7 CIPD or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related subject.

Salary £21,255 pa (pro rata) / 10.90 per hour + expenses
