Clearance of contaminated land in Iraq

The land was contaminated with mines and other explosive remnants of war, and was cleared for release to the government.

Using advanced guidance systems (AGS), armoured flails, large loops, and manual demining processes, SafeLane Global:

  • Cleared priority areas around Sindibad & Al Faw
  • Cleared the threat of mines
  • Conducted full battle area clearance (BAC)
  • Removed remnants of war
  • Handed over cleared and safe ground to the client

In terms of the resources deployed, this included a full project management team, a mechanical demining team, multiple manual clearance teams and 1 AGS survey team.

SafeLane Global recruited and trained all support staff in-country, and in total, 80% of all personnel on the project were recruited from the local community.
