Uganda gained independence from British rule 1962 but struggling with internal conflict for much of the following two decades.

While Uganda declared itself mine free in 2012, explosive remnants of war (ERW) continue to pose a risk to local communities and commercial activities.

SafeLane completed a 10 month project with an oil and gas client in Uganda.  It provided an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) supervisor to provide risk assessments, perform quality control checks and clearance methods for local deminers.

Wherever possible, SafeLane works closely alongside local communities while maximising client safety.
