As part of the territory of the Third Reich, Austria was heavily bombed during WWII, and explosive remnants of both world wars remain strewn across Austria to this day. In 2017, 11 tonnes of unexploded ordnance was recovered from Austrian waterways, and hundreds of kilos of ordnance was successfully cleared from Austrian mountains – much of this dates back to WWI.

Unexploded ordnance poses a threat to life, to the security of infrastructure projects, and to the commercial success of construction projects.

With its highly qualified and internationally experienced personnel, SafeLane Global has been leading the way in Austria since 2007, working to mitigate the threat of unexploded ordnance for private clients and government agencies alike – on land and in water.

It has the staff, technical capabilities and equipment to respond rapidly to any potential threat, and the capacity to deliver end-to-end solutions for long-term operations.
