Explosive ordnance disposal services

SafeLane Global was contracted by a leading oil and gas company to provide explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) capacity for a 7-month deployment in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The requirement was for a survey team and a demining team to conduct technical surveys and manual clearance ahead of oil exploration.

SafeLane also provided an embedded mine action specialist to remain with the client as a consultant for their exploration efforts.

The consultant was on hand for safeguarding, and as a reactive consultant in the event the client's personnel encountered any unexploded ordnance (UXO) threat.

The survey team conducted technical surveys of the designated area, which then allowed the demining team to conduct manual clearance operations.

The result was 75,000m2 of land was completely cleared and declared free of mines and explosive remnants of war (ERW).
