SafeLane occasionally recruits for experienced Ammunition Technical Officers and would like to hear from you if you have the skills and experience relevant to the role.

You would primarily be responsible for providing advice on measures to enhance the safety of all troop and police contributing contingents’ ammunition storage, as well as managing the demolition capacity.

Innovative thinking will enable you to guide the project to achieve – and exceed – the expectations of SafeLane’s client.

Required qualifications & experience…

Qualifications:

Senior Ammunition Technician and / or Ammunition Technical Officer

IMAS EOD 3+ qualified (logistical demolitions)

Experience:

A minimum of three years’ experience in project management, and in the conduct of logistical demolitions

Comprehensive understanding of IATG and principles of establishing temporary storage and managing ammunition in conditions below that expected of IATG Risk Reduction Process Level One

Experience planning, preparing and conducting large-scale logistics disposals and to be familiar with disposal techniques e.g. small arms ammunition incineration and the use of binary liquid explosives and linear cutting charges

Provided ammunitions storage advice, movement of ammunition, new ammunition storage and preparation of standard and non-standard Explosive Limits Licences
